What sets it apart from other crypto prediction market, while reading a Decrypt article or interacting a media partner, you can see a live market asking “Will Bitcoin reach a new all-time high this year?” and place a prediction instantly from your browser plugin. Their vision is to make Myriad a protocol that can be easily embedded anywhere you go.

Similar to how prediction markets work generally, each market event is presented in the form of a question such as “Will Donald Trump visit China in 20205” You can choose the outcome of either Yes or No. Each share is priced between 0 and 1 USDC. For example, if “Yes” is trading at $0.65, that means that there is  65% chance of that outcome happening.

Let’s say you buy $100 worth of “Yes” when the price is at $0.40 per share, which gives you 250 shares, and if you’re right when the event resolves, you get paid $250. However the key difference is that you don’t have to hold until the end to realize a profit. Clicking any market opens its chart, trade history, holders, volume and liquidity data. To trade, you select Yes or No, choose your stake, and confirm. Your position will show up in your portfolio instantly.

Myriad is using an automated market maker system meaning that prices are updated as people buy or sell, which ensures instant share trades without waiting for any middleman to approve. You can also open or close a position anytime before settlement. If a market moves in your favor, you can sell early to take profit even if its a 10% gain. If the odds turn against you, you can exit to limit your losses. Unlike platforms such as Polymarket, Myriad doesn’t currently support limit orders.

Fees are low and average between 0-3 percent per trade depending on the event, part of the fees are used to support partner media content creators, liquidity and protocol development. This is still lower than traditional sportsbooks or centralized casinos, which helps Myriad maintain active trading volume while funding its ecosystem. Myriad Markets brings something new to crypto prediction markets, by integrating with real-time media and community engagement instead of isolated betting. However it is fair to imply that the Myriad protocol as of yet is heavily interdependent on DASTAN when it comes to its socialFi features. You also need to have a chrome browser extension installed for maximum performance, however its important to note that its not mandatory to have this browser extension to use the platform itself.

Another cool feature is the integration of third party AI agents and apps building on Myriad. You can use those AI agents for automated prediction trading.

Currently, all markets on Myriad are created by DASTAN’s team based on trending news, crypto events, and user suggestions. Players cannot yet create their own prediction markets, but the team has confirmed plans to introduce community-generated markets once their blended oracle and ERC-PRED systems are fully implemented.
