California Privacy Notice (CCPA / CPRA)

1. Categories of personal information collected

In the past 12 months, BitGamble has collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined by the CCPA:

There are no accounts on this site, and we never collect your name. If you only read articles, the only information involved is categories A, F and G above — collected automatically, and not tied to any identity we hold.

2. Business purposes for collection

• Delivering, securing and maintaining the website.
• Measuring audience and understanding which content is useful.
• Showing whether a reviewed casino accepts players from your location.
• Preventing spam, fraud, bot traffic and duplicate rating votes.
• Responding to messages you send us.

3. Disclosure of personal information

We disclose the categories above to service providers who process data on our behalf and are contractually limited to that purpose: Google Analytics (analytics), Cloudflare (delivery and security), our web host, and an IP-to-country lookup provider. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

4. Sale and sharing of personal information

BitGamble does not sell your personal information, and never has. We receive no money in exchange for visitor data.

We want to be straightforward about one nuance rather than leave it unsaid. The CPRA defines "sharing" broadly enough to cover disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels on this site. However, our use of Google Analytics means analytics identifiers are processed by Google, and depending on Google account settings outside our control, such data can in principle be used for advertising purposes. We therefore treat this as potential "sharing" and give you a clear way to opt out, in section 5.

We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over.

5. How to opt out

You can stop analytics collection immediately, without contacting us:

• Install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a supporting browser or extension. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request.
• Block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings.

6. Your California rights

• Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties involved.
• Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
• Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing — see section 5.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect any, so there is nothing to limit.
• Right to non-discrimination — we will never charge you a different price, or give you a degraded version of the site, for exercising these rights. Everything here is free to read either way.

7. How to submit a request

Email admin@bitgamble.org with "California privacy request" in the subject line, and tell us which right you wish to exercise.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we may extend by a further 45 days and will tell you why.

Verification. Because this site has no accounts, we generally cannot link an IP address or analytics record to a named person. Where an identifier exists — a comment, a rating, or an email you sent us — we will verify you by matching the email address used. Where no identifier exists, we may be unable to verify the request; in that case the browser-level opt-out in section 5 is the most effective step, and we will say so rather than leave you waiting.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide written permission signed by you. We may still contact you directly to confirm.

8. Notice at collection

This notice, together with the Privacy Policy, serves as our notice at collection under the CCPA. It is linked from every page of the site. We collect the categories described in section 1, for the purposes in section 2, and retain them for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Affiliate links

BitGamble earns commissions from affiliate links to gambling operators. When you click through, you leave this site and the destination operator collects its own data under its own policy, which we do not control. Review it before registering.
